Using the Power Grader and a Marking Guide can really save time, while also providing valuable feedback to students.
The fastest way to get to the Power Grader is by clicking the Needs grading icon on the left side navigation bar and then clicking the Power button icon next to any assignment listed. In this case, there is only one assignment that needs grading, and there are just two submissions.
The Power Grader has a page for each student in the course, whether they have submitted work or not. In this case, the filter is set to view students that have not submitted, so we will need to change it to show only students who have submitted work.
Students have been asked to draw the exposure triangle in their notebooks and then do some research on each of the words listed. On the left, you can see the student submission, and basic information like the submission date and time and the date and time when the assignment was due.
On the right, you can see the Marking Guide that was created by the instructor to grade the assignment. The marking guide allows the instructor or anyone else who might assist in grading to quickly add grades for each criterion and then click Next to go to the next student.
If students do not get full credit on a section of the marking guide you can use the box to provide feedback regarding why as shown below. If you have added any Frequently used comments, you can simply click on the box and then the comment to add the comment.
Click Save Changes when you are finished grading and you will be taken to the assignment page.
