Using the Power Grader and a Grading Guide makes it quick and easy to provide valuable feedback to your students.
The fastest way to get to the Power Grader is by clicking the Needs Grading icon on the left side navigation bar and then clicking the Power Button icon next to the assignment you’d like to grade.
When the Power Grader opens, you can see easily which students have submitted an assignment and which have not. To grade a submitted assignment, simply click on Grade by the student’s name.
For this assignment, students were asked to take notes on the exposure triangle and research the terms involved. On the left, you can see the student’s submission in PDF form. You can annotate the student’s work using the PDF annotations, and students will see your feedback when you save changes. See our PDF annotation guide for more information about how to annotate PDFs.
On the right, you can see the Grading Guide that was created by the instructor to grade the assignment. The grading guide allows the instructor to quickly add scores for each criterion.
If students do not get full credit on a section of the grading guide you can use the box to provide feedback regarding why. If you have added Frequently Used Comments to your grading guide simply click on Insert Frequently Used Comment and choose the comment you need.
You can use the boxes in the bottom right corner to change the way you view the Power Grader.
