In order to take full advantage of the assessment tools within Converge, its best to begin by organizing your Question Bank with meaningful categories. This will make it quicker to find what you need when creating a new quiz or exam.
To access your Question Bank, navigate to your Course page. Click on the Settings icon in the top right corner to open the Settings Panel, then click Question Bank.
When you open the Question Bank, you will see any questions that are included in the default category for that course. All questions will be added to this category if you do not choose to create your own categories. On the top, there is also a drop down menu you can use to filter the questions by category.
To create and organize your categories for a particular course, click the Categories tab at the top of the page.
Scroll to the bottom to the Add Category box. Make the new category a “child” of another category or place it at the top or “parent” level. Then, add the category name, any description you might like, and click Add Category.
When you are done adding all of your categories, you can easily reorganize them by clicking on the settings icon to the right of each category.
Now, each time you create a new question, you will be able to add it to this category. Then, you can also pull from any question in this category when creating a new quiz or exam. See our tutorial Creating a Quiz Using the Question Bank[a] for more information.
