This action allows the instructor to empty a course of user data, while retaining the activities, resources and other settings. Please be aware that user data from your course (submissions, comments, grades, etc) will no longer be available if these items are selected.
When inside your course, click on the settings gear icon to access your Course Settings.
From the Course Settings menu bar, click Reset Course.
On the Reset Course page you can select what data you would like to reset. For example, you can delete data associated with discussion boards, calendar events, the course agenda, assignment submissions, etc.
On the General Settings tab you can change the Course Start & End Date, and choose to delete several items from the course.
On the Roles Tab you can unenroll students and other users associated with the course.
On the Gradebook Tab you can choose to delete items and categories and delete all grades.
On the Groups Tab you can delete groups and groupings from the course.
On each of the activity tabs you can delete all submissions for that activity type. This is recommended.
Click on the Preview Tab to review all of the items to be deleted.
When you are finished click Reset Course at the bottom of the page.
Your Course is now ready to use for a new class.
